Can we just take a moment to appreciate Lestrade?
Because everyone normally writes him off as kinda dull and unimpressive, when in reality, he’s actually pretty amazing.
Lestrade, in a weird way, is a little like Sherlock. He’s kind of removed from the action, and because of this, he notices all these little things. He knows when he can’t figure out something and if it’s right for Sherlock. In this post, he shows that he cares about Sherlock and is impressed by him, but also shows that he sees his flaws and his need for a change. Lestrade is also extremely loyal and kindhearted. He’s always willing to talk to Mrs. Hudson, or explain something to John, and especially in Reichenbach, when he so adamantly says that Sherlock is good.
Lestrade is actually the greatest, and I think people should give him a little more appreciation.
